THE OBSERVER
Thoughts graze his mind
But he does not judge them
He chooses to observe them without assigning positive or negative words
So he progresses every day, becoming more connected to the universe in many ways
But his nature is humble, and he does not expect bouquets of praise
For he is simply doing the best he can with the capacities he has and the way he was raised
In those who others see as enslaved, depraved, and contained
He sees lovely human beings who have decayed because they are afraid of change like an atomic grenade, razor-sharp blade, and satanic charade
For it is either by circumstance, conscious or unconscious choice that they have been detained
Enchained by guilt and shame and feeling like they have failed at life’s game
May this understanding forever remain
